🏥 Actual environmental conditions: A sense of luxury versus an industrial atmosphere

The first impression upon entering 365MC Hospital is “quietness” – not a desolate kind of quietness, but rather an orderly and professional atmosphere. The waiting area can accommodate about 8 to 10 people, but on the afternoon I visited, there were only 3 groups of patients waiting. At the reception, a Chinese-speaking supervisor confirmed my appointment and understood my needs in simple Chinese before offering me a cup of warm water.

The consultation room is equipped with all the necessary facilities: a 3D body scanner, an ultrasound device for measuring fat thickness, and a large-screen monitor for comparison. Director Kim Ha-jin first had me undergo a 3D body scan, and then explained in detail my fat distribution pattern – rather than asking me right away, “What treatment would you like to have.” This order is very important because it shows that the doctor is focusing on your needs, rather than trying to sell you a particular treatment.

The hygiene standards in the corridors and treatment rooms also reassured me: disposable sheets were used, doctors washed and disinfected their hands before each procedure, and the equipment used was opened in front of my eyes. I paid special attention to the equipment used for lumbar and abdominal liposuction – Director Kim Ha-jin even took the initiative to show me the brand label and purchase date of the machine, something that many clinics do not bother to do. 💬 In-person consultation experience: The suggestions given by the director were completely unexpected.

After reading my report, Director Kim Ha-jin’s first reaction was: “You don’t need to do so much.

Your basic health condition is good, so abdominal liposuction is a reasonable choice for you. However, I don’t recommend performing multiple procedures at once. First, undergo the abdominal liposuction, and then come back for a follow-up visit in three weeks to assess the results before deciding on your next step.

This statement completely strengthened my trust in 365MC Hospital. The final decision was to undergo only the abdominal and waist liposuction procedure, which cost 4.5 million Korean won (approximately NT$121,500 or HK$28,800). 🛏️ Actual experience during the treatment: Is it painful? How long does it take to complete?

Local anesthesia was administered on both sides of the waist and abdomen. There was a slight stinging sensation when the injection was given, but the area quickly went numb after about 10 seconds. The operation took approximately 60 minutes, and Director Kim Ha-jin was present throughout the entire process. Whenever a new area was being treated, he would inform the patient in advance, saying, “You will feel some pulling sensations during the suction process; please try to endure it.

I would give the pain level a score of 3/10 – mainly due to the pulling and soreness sensations during the aspiration process, but these were completely tolerable under the effect of the anesthetic. During the procedure, I could tell that the doctor’s technique was very steady, and the force used during aspiration was consistent throughout, without any fluctuations. On two occasions, I raised my hand to indicate that I needed a pause, and Director Kim Ha-jin immediately stopped and waited until I was ready to continue. Such respect for the patient’s comfort is truly commendable.

After the procedure, the nurse helped me put on the Compression Garment. At first, it felt a bit uncomfortable having my waist and abdomen tightly wrapped up, but this is essential for postoperative recovery and shaping. When I looked in the mirror, I could see obvious swelling in my waist and abdomen, but this is a normal postoperative reaction. Before leaving, the Chinese-speaking head nurse gave me a card with postoperative instructions and her WeChat contact information, saying that I could ask her any questions at any time.

📅 Post-treatment follow-up: A complete record from day 1 to day 14

Day 1: There was obvious swelling in the waist and abdomen, as well as some bruises, but they were not severe. The clinic provided me with a post-operative care kit and anti-inflammatory medication, and instructed me to wear the Compression Garment 24 hours a day for the first two weeks, avoid strenuous exercise, and refrain from lifting heavy objects.
