During my vacation on Jeju Island this time, I took the opportunity to experience the renowned Now Medi Clinic. I have to say that the quality of their services is truly top-notch! Consultation with the hospital director: A 40-minute private discussion
What surprised me the most was that the director personally took the time to consult with me! In many clinics in Seoul, it is usually the consultant who conducts the initial consultation, while the director is only responsible for the actual treatment. However, here, the director was involved throughout the whole process – carefully observing my skin type, asking about my lifestyle habits, and understanding my expectations.
I originally wanted to have the Pico treatment, but the director suggested starting with basic skin care first: “Your skin is quite sensitive, so directly undergoing laser treatment might cause the area to darken. It’s better to stabilize your skin condition first and come back for the laser treatment later.” This approach of not forcing sales and truly considering the customer’s needs is really reassuring.
Treatment experience: Gentle and meticulous Korean-style service
This time, the treatment used was a combination of “hyaluronic acid injection + LED therapy”:
- Removal of makeup and cleansing: The beautician applies gentle techniques and will also ask if the pressure used is appropriate.
- Deep cleansing: Ultrasonic vibrations are used to remove dead skin cells without causing any irritation at all.
- Essential steps explained in-person: The director personally performs the procedure and explains each step along the way.
- LED repair: Expose the area to glow for 15 minutes while simultaneously performing shoulder and neck massage.
- Postoperative care: Apply a soothing facial mask; postoperative care kits are also available.
The entire process took approximately 1.5 hours. No other treatments were promoted at all; the focus was entirely on the service being provided at that moment.

Effect evaluation: A naturally radiant and glowing effect
Immediately after the treatment, I felt that my skin had “absorbed enough moisture” and became bright and glossy. It wasn’t that exaggerated “three-step whitening effect after laser treatment,” but rather a natural, healthy sheen. When I returned to Taiwan, my colleagues all asked me if I had changed my skincare products, wondering how my skin had become so good.
Postoperative care is also very simple: just enhance sun protection and moisturization, and there will be no issues with peeling or darkening of the skin. Approximately 3 days later, the skin will reach its optimal condition, and makeup will apply smoothly.
Price evaluation: Cheaper than in Seoul, with a higher cost-performance ratio.
The cost of this treatment is approximately 150,000 Korean won (about NT$4,000), while the same treatment in Seoul might cost 200,000 to 250,000 Korean won. Since the treatment was performed by the director himself, this price is truly very affordable.
